Game Tier List Maker

Drag games into S/A/B/C/D tiers — built-in covers, a 109-game library to pick from, compact view for one-screen ranking, and the whole board exports as one PNG. Works on phone without dragging; nothing leaves your browser.

Ungrouped Items here appear at the bottom of the export until you file them into a tier.

How it works

The board starts with five tiers — S, A, B, C, D — plus an ungrouped pool at the bottom. Click a pool card to open its menu (move to a tier, rename, change cover, delete) or drag it straight onto the board. On a tiered card the × in the top-right corner removes the item right away and ⋯ opens the same menu. On desktop you can also drag cards between tiers and within a row to reorder.

The page ships with a 109-game library where every entry has its cover bundled — “Pick from library” opens it to search and add cards, and the Random 20 template deals a fresh group each time. Two curated templates are also included. “Compact view” shrinks the board so the pool and all tiers fit one screen. Reloading a template replaces the current board after a confirmation; Reset gives you an empty board. Your draft persists in localStorage.

Export renders the entire list — title, every tier and the ungrouped pool while it still holds items — into a single PNG at 2× resolution. The image is drawn fresh, not a screen capture, so long names and local covers come out complete.

Frequently asked questions

Is my tier list uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser: dragging, renaming and cover uploads stay in local memory, and the draft is saved to localStorage only. Nothing is sent to a server.

How do I rank items on a phone without drag and drop?

Tap the action button on any item card, pick a tier from the “Move to” menu, then fine-tune with the forward/backward buttons. Rename, cover upload and delete live in the same menu.

What image files can I upload?

Common formats (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF) up to 5MB each. Uploads are downscaled to 480px on the long edge; files that fail to decode are rejected with a clear error instead of a blank tile.

Do duplicate names collide?

No. Every item gets its own ID when created, so identical names rank independently and never overwrite each other.

Does the PNG export capture the screen or the whole list?

The whole list. Export re-lays-out your full board — title, every tier, and the ungrouped pool while it still holds items — regardless of what is visible on screen.

How do I start over?

“Reset” returns a blank board and “Reload template” restores the selected preset. Both ask for confirmation first so a finished ranking is not wiped by accident.
